Wu Daize spent ten years searching for a material in which light would behave like water - thickening, refracting and glowing from within. A material able to convey the aesthetics of pure, moving water as precisely as possible.
The result is a high-tech synthetic crystal with a refraction index close to natural crystal and rare plasticity for a crystal material. Liquid while being formed, solid at rest. It can become a drop in the palm of a hand or a human-scale form.
BOKING Crystal is fully eco-friendly and safe.

Process
Each figure passes through four stages. All of them are manual. There is no machine seriality here.
The crystalline raw material is melted down into a liquid state. At temperatures of several hundred degrees, the material becomes transparent and fluid.
The master catches the right moment to pour the material into the mold. This is how each figure takes shape — with its own curve, its own movement.
Thin flakes of gold leaf are introduced into the crystal, remaining suspended inside the hardened mass like reflections of light in water.
The surface is finished by hand to a glass-like state. Light begins to live inside the form - refracting, reflecting, dispersing.
The same BOKING ART workshop creates furniture, decor and art objects from BOKING Crystal - the material from which our pendants are born. Models and formats for the room, from decor to large-scale art objects.
Furniture and sculptures made from BOKING Crystal are suitable for outdoor settings — terraces, gardens and open public spaces — while retaining their strength and refined appearance.
